Prologue
The Carters and the Jennings, now that is a beautiful story.
Let me tell you about how these two families came together and started a life long friendship.
The Jennings were a small family.
They started out with just the two of them, Lucy and John.
Such a happy and loving couple, who wanted nothing more than to have lots of children.
Unfortunately things did not go very smoothly in that department.
They tried for years before they finally got blessed with a beautiful baby girl.
They named her Josephine, after her grandmother, but everybody called her Joey.
Their happiness didn't last long...
John was killed by a drunk driver when Joey was two years old. Sadly she never really knew her father.
Lucy was left with an infant and a broken heart.
She would not share her life with the one she loved and she would never have anymore children.
Even through all this, they were a happy couple, mother and daughter.
They shared everything with each other.
The Carters, on the other hand, where a family of seven:
Mom Jane, Dad Bob and five beautiful blond children.
When their eldest son and daughter, Nick and Bobby jean, were young they moved from upstate New York to a small town outside of Tampa, Florida.
Here they had three more children.
A girl called Leslie and twins, Aaron and Angel.
Soon they found out that their eldest son, Nick, had an extraordinary talent.
He was an amazing singer at a very young age.
So while Bob had a nine to five steady job, Jane stayed at home with the kids.
It gave her the opportunity to help Nick develop his talent.
Our story begins at the very moment that the Carters move in next to the Jennings.
A little boy and girl see each other for the first time and are instantly drawn to one another.
